This can be increased to allow for smoother gearbox shifting, which in turn prevents premature clutch wear and failure. Since shift time is reduced, you will also see improved paddle reaction time.

While the torque limiter is tuned as part of our ECU remapping service, DSG transmissions have their own control unit torque limiters also. Tuning releases the extra torque while still maintaining stability within the hardware. 

As with DSG transmissions and torque limiter, they also have RPM limiters. We can adjust the DSG maps and increase shift points to give you total control and command of the engine in the upper RPM ranges. We can also set up the rev limit to combine well with your vehicle’s engine. 

This can particularly benefit vehicles with DSG. In fact, we offer a discount on vehicles that have both the DSG box and engine ECU tuned.
